Hervé Souhaut founded his domaine in 1993 and farms five hectares of old vines in the Rhone Valley. Souhaut produces his wines entirely from whole grape bunches and semi-carbonic maceration, leading to balanced and elegant final wines. Those of you who swoon over Beaujolais will find a kindred spirit in this bottle for sure. His Syrah shows flavors of red and black fruits, smoked meat, and violets. Persistent and lively, this is Syrah that is alternately as light as a feather and as rich as can be. This is the kind of wine that makes converts out of those who try it.
